The Egyptian Businessmen Board,
the French Business Group and the
German
Business Council, in co-operation with the Abu Dhabi Chamber
of Commerce and Industry, will organize the
Third Annual
Business Groups Forum on Saturday,
December 13, 2003 in Abu
Dhabi. The venue of the Forum will be announced later.
This was announced by the three Presidents of the Egyptian,
French and German Business Councils Mr. Abdel Raouf Sami, Mr.
Christian Laine and Mr. Rainer E. Beers at a press conference
held at ADCCI yesterday. The initiative is fully endorsed and
supported by the ADCCI said Mr. Mohammed Omar Abdullah, the
Director General of the ADCCI.
Continuing on the initiative taken by the Canadian and Swiss
Business Councils two years ago and followed up by the
American and Indian Business Groups in 2002, the members of
all the business councils and groups, representatives of the
Government, private sector companies and public sector
establishments are looking forward to come together once again
for an evening of networking and interaction.
The Forum would give a unique opportunity for businessmen and
officials to establish or renew relationships, exchange
information and experience as well as to discuss common goals.
Each business group will have promotional stands and displays
with key members available to give out information and to
answer enquiries. A prominent guest speaker will deliver the
keynote address.
A raffle draw will be held following the dinner, featuring the
best of Egyptian, French and German cuisines.
The individual business groups will be responsible for
inviting their respective ambassadors, other members of the
diplomatic community in addition to any other VIPs and guests
of their choice.
The Presidents of the three business groups organizing the
Forum said that they were considering the support of and
co-operation of some prominent business houses to sponsor the
event.
They said that the three business groups were striving to
further develop the synergy and potential by joining hands by
all the business groups in Abu Dhabi with the aim of
contributing to the business environment of the Emirate.
They hoped that the Forum this year would keep alive the
initiative taken two years ago while setting the stage for
more similar joint events for the mutual benefit of all
participants.
They said that the event is being announced well in advance so
that the participants plan their schedules adding that there
would be more media campaign on the Forum.
