The Abu Dhabi Business Women Council was formed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by virtue of the Chamber’s Board of Directors decision no. 620 of 2001 .
According to the provision of article (24) of the executive rules of the Chamber Law no.(7) of 1998 , the board Directors was empowered to form committees whether through appointment or election, or any other committees was provided in article (31) of the said rules.
The Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council is formed to exercise activity through the Trade & Services Committee of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

The Vision

Maintain the leading role played by Abu Dhabi Businesswomen and articulate their ambitions and requirements. Provide distinguished services to Businesswomen to contribute to the national economy and promote Abu Dhabi Emirate as a global hub for economy and finance.

Council Objectives

1. Represent Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the U.A.E. Businesswomen Council and other similar organization, in the Region and the world at large, as well as in various women affairs conferences and functions, on regional, Arab and international levels.

2. Provide appropriate opportunities for women to be well trained and qualified and expand the scope of their involvement in professional and commercial business.

3. Cooperate with local, Arab and international organizations concerned with the economic affairs to benefit of their programs, related to the consolidation of female contribution to the economic development process.

4. Avail the opportunity for women to express their opinion on the relevant issues and discuss their problems.

5. Present suggestions and recommendations concerning the services and functions that can be offered or organized by the Chamber to assist the Chamber business women members.
    

6. Provide a dialogue and communication forum for Abu Dhabi businesswomen and enhance their inter-relations.

7. Open new horizons and roles for women and urge their creativity and self-confidence.
    

8. Highlight women achievements in contemporary life.
    

9. Provide new job opportunities for women in various walks of life with emphasis on the economic sector.

10. Adopt polices of the emiratization in women economic sectors.
     

11. Ensure women contribution public life, activities.
     

12. Cooperation and coordination with the Chamber’s Training Center to organize courses and seminars, aiming business women.
     

13. Pay visits and hold meetings to effectuate women’s’ role in the society.
